Fashion Design Essentials

If you're looking to start a Fashion Design  degree, or are already on one, you'll be aware of the massive kit list needed for the course. This can be quite daunting and expensive but there are 2 main retailers in London that can massively help you out.

Cass Art

Cass Art is an absolute godsend for all your sketchbook and arty supplies. They literally carry all kinds of sketchbooks, pens and paints that you can think of, including all the promarker colours!(which I'll explain my love for later) They offer a good student discount but most of the time there are so many offers on that you don't need it. Unfortunately they don't have e-commerce set up :( but rest assured it will be launched later in the year! stores can be found in Islington, Charing Cross, Kensington, Hampstead, Soho and Kingston. 


Morplan

Morplan is the place to get all your Fashion Design specific equipment like Pattern masters and other cutting equipment. Its mainly meant for trade but they do offer student discount so make sure you have your student card ready at the till. The staff are so helpful in here, when I went in with my huge list, which included lots of pieces I'd never even heard of, the staff were able to help point me in the right direction and advise me about which scissors were most suitable , which are an important piece of kit!
